Good behavior from parents and other spectators helps ensure a positive sports experience for every athlete. For many years the Diocese of Pittsburgh has required parents/guardians to review and sign a pledge that describes acceptable behaviors for the families of students participating in the Diocese athletic programs. This pledge is signed each school year. We have updated that pledge and provide it as an online form that members of your family can review and sign. Here is a link to the online form – SHCA Athletics Pledge for Parents/Guardians. You can also find the link on our Athletic Program webpage. You will have to log in using your family account to view the online form.
We encourage you and your family members to please read and sign the online pledge. If you signed the pledge last school year you must review and sign it again. Though we much prefer you to use the online form above, as an alternative you may also print out, read, sign, and turn this PDF version of the form - Athletics Pledge for Parents-Guardians (PDF).
The Family Pass and Special Person Pass are for athletic events held in our gym only - usually basketball and volleyball home events and tournaments. There is an entrance fee to watch those games - $6.00/family, $4.00/adult, $2.00/student. The fee helps pay for the cost of referees. The passes get the immediate family or passholder entry to all those events. You cannot use Family or Special Person passes for Cross Country, Soccer or Track events.
The Family Pass costs $50.00 and covers the parents and children (immediate family) of the family that the pass was issued to. The Special Person pass is $15.00 and covers only the individual listed on the pass. You can buy passes online on your Family Page, or at the school office.
Note - You should not need the pass for Little Dribblers and Spirit Squad events in the gym - they do not have any refereed games or events. If you plan to come and watch many of the other events of the older athletes in the gym, you might consider a pass.
